As has been our policy for the last 30 years, satisfaction is print longevity are fully guaranteed.
The process of restoration begins with a quality scan (or photography) of the original (avoid color copies), then it is corrected, enhanced, or merged in the computer, and finally reproduced to size as a Giclee’ print with a clear lacquer finish. Simple cracking, color correction (fading), or size changes (avoid out-of-focus photos), are considered part of any package group. Extra charges for restoration involve situations where excessive correction, colorization, or collage groupings are necessary to achieve above satisfactory results. OPS guarantees satisfaction with all work and because we make on Giclee’ prints, we guarantee all prints against fading and mild exposure to water and other like solvents.
Category 1 – Prints with basic restoration
Category 2 – Prints with light to medium restoration
Category 3 – Heavily damaged Photos need to be seen to be properly evaluated.
- Badly torn photos
- Heavily discolored, faded or severely green photos
- Collages with/without copy
Reprints (anytime) not up sized:
Giclee’ printing is oil based printing and from my chemical engineering background, I can’t foresee a better quality product being made in my lifetime – Avoid color copied products if you are interested in longevity!
Dry mounting your reproductions will prevent future damage!
